Terms of Service
Last updated: July 16, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of updates.page (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The Service
updates.page lets you publish product announcements and changelogs on hosted pages, custom domains, embeddable widgets, and via an API and CLI. We may change, add, or remove features over time.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account, including activity performed with your API keys. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis via Stripe.
- You can cancel at any time; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- If a payment fails, we may downgrade or suspend paid features after a reasonable grace period.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you publish through the Service. You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display that content solely to operate the Service. You are responsible for the content you publish and must have the rights to publish it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- publish unlawful, infringing, or malicious content;
- distribute malware or engage in phishing;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts;
- place excessive load on the Service or circumvent rate limits.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Custom domains
You must own or control any custom domain you connect to the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the required DNS records.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your account for breach of these Terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination, your hosted pages and embeds stop working.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify account owners by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
